Here’s a podcast I did last Friday on a very good show, “The A-List with Jennifer Lindsay,” on Blog Talk Radio I like podcasts a lot. In this one, Lindsay interviews me about covering the early Internet, including my years on the chain gang covering AOL (AOL), as well as my long and checkered career. We also discuss the Google (GOOG) Buzz debacle, the Apple (AAPL) iPad, mobile trends and the proclivity of Silicon Valley to obsess on the next big thing. Enjoy:

Chairman and Chief Executive Rupert Murdoch, will join his one-time rival, Time Warner, as a senior adviser to its CEO, Jeff Bewkes, the company said Thursday . News Corp. Gary Ginsberg, a former News Corp. exec, took a new job with Time Warner. News Corp. said in November that Mr. Ginsberg, the company’s executive vice president of global marketing and corporate affairs, would step down from his post

Former AOL CEO Steve Case Is Chairman Of The Board (AOL)

Former AOL CEO Steve Case is now chairman of the board for a company called Exclusive Resorts . Steve takes the position as he leads a $20 million round of new equity financing for the startup, which connects travelers with resorts and private residences at vacation destinations through a membership program.
